Apple Self-Driving Cars Speculated For Sales By 2023

Self-Driving Car

Apple has continued to cause disruptions in the mobile market and certainly, Steve Job will be proud if he smiles down on earth from heaven when he sees that his brand has withstood the test of time setting the trend for mobile conversations over the years. However, the new trend of disruption by the company might not be another high-end mobile flagship, but the brand’s quest to break even on new grounds. Well, the brand might be releasing its own self-driving car division soon.

According to Apple’s famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who is the brand’s ‘most informed’ being on the planet the brand would be launching its own AR Glasses product line in 2020 and would also be unveiling its self-driving car line in 2023-2025.

Although, there have been speculations that Apple has been working on a self-driving car line since 2014, but this development has been kept on a low. Kuo’s statement might have just helped sustain the speculations by other brand analysts.

Also Apple hiring Tesla’s lead Engineer Doug Fields, who has spent five years with the Self-driving car brand could also be another evidence that Apple might be seriously considering the development of its self-driving car line.

However, in a Macrumors post Ming-Chi Kuo was quoted to have said that:

We expect that Apple Car, which will likely be launched in 2023–2025, will be the next star product. The reasons for this are as follows: (1) potentially huge replacement demands are emerging in the auto sector because it is being redefined by new technologies. The case is the same as the smartphone sector 10 years ago; (2) Apple’s leading technology advantages (e.g. AR) would redefine cars and differentiate Apple Car from peers’ products; (3) Apple’s service will grow significantly by entering the huge car finance market via Apple Car, and (4) Apple can do a better integration of hardware, software, and service than current competitors in the consumer electronics sector and potential competitors in the auto sector.

If this becomes the case within the speculated period Apple might just be taken its electronic competitiveness to a completely new level as the brand’s self-driving car division will become direct competitors with Elon Musk’s infamous Tesla.
