Samsung’s new 860 QVO can boost your computer storage to 4TB

It appears that Samsung is forging for more in the solid-state drives (SSD) with this new drive.

You certainly might be wondering why you should pick an SSD over the traditional hard drive, well the SSD has no movable part, which reduces its chances of breaking.

The only twist to this is the fact that hard drives, which are more traditional are cheaper and more affordable than SSD. But Samsung has addressed the cost factor with this new drive.

Samsung’s 860 QVO SSD. The drive starts at $150 (£118/AU$208 converted) for 1TB of storage. It also comes with 2TB and 4TB of storage as well.

Like other SSD with an estimate of $1,200 for the 4TB we are guessing the price for this new SSD might be around that same cost, but the brand has not come out to fully put a price to its new QVO 860.

The 860 QVO has read/write speeds of up to 550/520 MB/s.

Samsung says the SSD will be available globally in December 2018.
