Kenyan 400m hurdles World champion, Nicholas Bett, dies in Car Crash
Nicholas Bett, former 400m hurdles world champion, lost his life in a car crash in Nandi country, Kenya.
The 28-year old had just returned from competing in the Continental Championship in Nigeria. The athlete won the gold medal in Beijing in 2015, making history as the first Kenyan to win a gold medal at a distance shorter than 800m.
He was a two-time African bronze medalist and news of his death has been confirmed by his family and Nandi Police Commander, Patrick Wambani.
